Preparation and Painting

SETUP: Large furniture is moved to the center of the room; wall and ceiling fixtures, hardware and electrical switches and outlet covers are removed or covered with plastic and tape. Furniture and floors are covered with plastic and drop-cloths.

SURFACE CLEANING: We will remove any mildew or water stains and the surface will be scrubbed with a household bleach solution.

PREP WORK: All cracks and seams around windows and doors will be filled with an acrylic caulk. Glossy paint surfaces will be sanded and all holes will be filled with spackle. The surface is then sanded and dusted.

PAINTING: All repaired areas are primed with an oil base primer. Paint can be applied with a brush, roller or sprayer depending on the surface. Ceilings and walls are painted to proper coverage and finish color. To get the best results, we start by cutting in 3 inches around the edges including where the wall meets the ceiling first, then we continue with the walls, windows, doors and finish with the trim and baseboards. Walls and ceilings are painted with interior latex acrylic paint. Windows, doors, moldings and baseboards are painted with an oil base or latex enamel finish paint. Only premium paint by Kelly Moore, Benjamin Moore and Parker Paint are used.

Office - Eggshell or flat finish
 

CLEAN-UP: After the tape and masking is removed, hardware such as door knobs, electrical switches and outlet covers are re-installed. The furniture is moved back into their original locations. Touch-up paint is left for the customer and all garbage is removed.
